Potential Destinations

Brazil

I Want to Book, But When?

The best time to travel to Brazil is in September and October. During this time, you avoid peak vacation periods, but you can skip the chilly winter and wet and rainy season in the Pantanal. No matter the time of year you travel, the heat and humidity continue to rise as you travel north.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Experiences

  • Enjoy a drink in hand while walking down the infamous sandy shores of Copacabana Beach.

  • Swim or snorkel with dolphins and sea turtles while spending an afternoon around Dolphin Island

  • Take in the world’s largest Art Deco statue and Brazilian culture icon, Christ the Redeemer

  • Rush through the rapids and travel beneath the falls at the natural wonder that is Iguassu Falls

  • Take a trip on Viaduct Petrobras, an abandoned road elevated in the middle of the Brazilian jungle

Hawaii

When to Book Your Next Vacay

With relatively warm weather all year round, the best time to visit Hawaii comes in two distinct time frames April through May and September to October. These patches of time often have the most consistent weather. November through March are often the rainiest months on the islands, while the span of June to November is hurricane season. Large storms don’t regularly hit the islands, but they can still put a damper on your travel plans.

Put This on the Bucket List

  • Deep dive through the wreckage of a Corsair plane, which has graced the waters of Oahu since 1946

  • Enjoy playtime with over 600 lions and other wild cats at the Lanai Cat Sanctuary

  • Tube through a series of canals and tunnels originally built as an irrigation system on a sugar plantation on the Garden Isle of Kauai

  • See the stars atop Mauna Kea. Earth’s tallest volcano is home to more than a dozen high-grade observatories

  • Become king for a day at Iolani Palace, the only total palace built on U.S. soil.

  • Confront the trapped monster below the spouting horn that is said to be the cause of this Hawaiian blowhole

Europe

I’d Love to Go, But When?

Depending on which portion of the continent you wish to visit, Europe can suffice as a year-round travel destination. The peak season for most European countries is July through August. This is due to the warm weather, longer days, and any other tourist-y appeals. If you aren’t willing to compete with longer lines and busy streets, you may want to consider traveling in May, June, or September. These are often the times when the prices are right, and crowds are smaller.

Bucket List Musts

  • Explore the Black Mausoleum and come face-to-face with the Mackenzie Poltergeist in Edinburgh

  • Board a boat and witness the spectacles of Amsterdam from the canals

  • Embrace the art and history of Europe and other parts of the world at museums such as the Louvre, the Hermitage, and the Belvedere

  • Live out your fairytale fantasies by visiting the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany

  • Take a vacation from your vacation and enjoy a day at the beach in the Algarve region of southern Portugal.

  • Grab a crepe and enjoy the sunset from atop the Eiffel Tower.

Asia

When Should I Visit?

Southeast Asia typically experiences a rainy season from May until the end of October. This is also the time during which typhoon season also overtakes much of the continent. The period from November to February is generally the best time to visit the Southeastern parts of Asia. During this time, the weather is often cooler and drier, and even then, you may still see regions hitting temperatures of 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Don’t Miss Experiences

  • Come face-to-face with the largest lizards in the world when visiting the Komodo National Park

  • Conquer your fears of the Mighty Everest and ascend to the easily-reachable Everest Base Camp

  • Take a bird’s eye trip over the temples of Myanmar in a hot-air balloon

  • Walk amongst the more than 8,000 terra-cotta soldiers lining the exterior of the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first Qin Emperor

  • Experience the crossroads where Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam collide at the Golden Triangle

  • Charter an early morning plane to fly over the Himalayas at sunrise
